指电机在达到磁饱和点后，在推力常数非线性区域时产生的推力。此时电机的实际推力常数比样本值小26%。极限推力仅适用于有铁芯直线电机和力矩电机。电机将电流转化为推力的效率减小，线圈加速发热。极限推力时电机温升为10或20 K/s，具体取决于电机系列。
